National Museum of Wales

The National Museum of Wales transport collections includes the Museum's oldest surviving Welsh-owned car, a 1900 Benz motor car which is on display at the National Waterfront Museum , Swansea.

The rest of the collection, which includes examples of the Gilbern, the only car made in Wales, is stored at the National Collections Centre, Nantgarw. Vehicles include a 1929 Chevrolet Mobile Shop, a 1959 Daimler Majestic, a ZECAR prototype electric car, a Ford Thames Mine Rescue vehicle and a Cardiff Corporation Crossley double decker bus.One of the Gilberns has a Ford V6 engine and was one of the last to be built.
