Launceston Steam Railway & Museum
Launceston Station is home to a fascinating Transport and Engineering Museum, with a range of items from the days when British engineering was the envy of the world.
Exhibits include a collection of vintage cars and motorcycles, all sorts of interesting machines from the past, plus a range of railway equipment and memorabilia, including several items from the old North Cornwall Railway which ran through Launceston.
A number of items in the museum collection are still in occasional use, and we regularly add new items to the displays. In 2016 a further second museum building was opened to hold more exhibits.
