Grand Re opening of RAF Museum Hendon, London on 30th June 2018. The Museum has a number of military vehicles on display as well as aircraft.

Closure Week 24 - 29 June 2018 - The Hendon, London site, will be closed from Sunday 24 June to Friday 29 June in preparation of opening three new exhibitions to the public on 30 June. These are: RAF Stories: The First 100 Years 1918–2018; RAF: First to the Future;The RAF in an Age of Uncertainty 1980 until today

30th June, the reopening day is also Armed Forces Day: 30 June

Enjoy a family festival day of music, activities, talks, tours and storytelling that not only celebrates Armed Forces Day but also the re-opening of our London site.

We will be celebrating with a star line up of music, featuring the Jive Aces, a six-piece high energy, jive and swing band, the North London Military Wives Choir and the RAF Halton Voluntary Band.

Entertainment and activities will also include: 100 years of uniform – dress the whole family in uniform worn by RAF personnel throughout the last 100 years and take your selfies

Craft Activities – kids (and maybe even adults too!) get inventive with a range of art activities

Talks & Tours – delve into the RAF's history and learn more about the service

Storytelling – our fun and engaging stories will inspire and entertain. It promises to be a great day for all the family. This event is free but the Museum is expecting large numbers.
