It’s the day to get your Classic car, bus or truck on the road for all to see!
11th & 12th May. Land Rover fans are in for a treat when the British Motor Museum hosts its popular and successful ‘Gaydon Land Rover Show’ on the. In its fifth year, the dedicated weekend show will showcase a huge selection of models from 1948 to the present day. Saturday 11th May – Guildford Chassis Plant Open Day. Dennis and Plaxton trucks and buses chassis factory is open from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Free entry and Vintage vehicle rides. Dennis has been on the Guildford scene for 120 years. Location is Dennis Way, Slyfield Industrial Estate, Guildford, GU1 1AF.
25th & 26th May Land Rover Legends is a Land Rover event like no other, celebrating everything special about the Land Rover brand, both past and present. Held at Bicester Heritage the 50th anniversary of the entry into service of the Series IIa SAS Pink Panther will be commemorated with what is expected to be the largest-ever gathering of these fascinating vehicles, supported by examples of the Series I and later 110 SAS vehicles. www.landroverlegends.com
Sunday, June 9th sees Luton transformed into a classic ‘Motor City’ at Vauxhall’s Heritage Centre in Park Street, Luton, LU1 3HG. Their Annual Open Day joins with the Luton Festival of Transport., Admission is free, as well as the Collection vehicles, a variety of Vauxhall clubs will be displaying their members’ cars and vans. There will also be a chance for kids to try their hand at being a racing star in a video-equipped BTCC Vectra, a full line-up of Vauxhall’s modern vehicle range, and memorabilia.. Sunday June 23rd Beaulieu's Simply Land Rover will return on, celebrating 30 years of the Land Rover Discovery From the minimalist Discovery Series I of 1989 to the latest high-tech versions, all five generations of Discovery are invited to park up in a display area set aside in the grounds of the National Motor Museum. Saturday 24th August – Gloucester goes Retro. The City of Gloucester has four historic streets in the City Centre and on this day some 200 Classic cars are on show. Each street features an era of time, 1900 – 1949; 1950’s; 1960’s; 1970’s up to modern times.
