2020 FESTIVAL OF THE UNEXCEPTIONAL

Hagerty has postponed the 2020 Festival of the Unexceptional until 2021. In light of government guidance surrounding Covid-19, the team behind the delightfully unconventional cult car show, due to be staged on 25th July, took the decision to guarantee the safety of hundreds of participants, thousands more visitors, valued partners and the team at Hagerty. New dates will be announced later this year.

CAR MAKERS HELP NHS

Many manufacturers are doing their bit to help the NHS. Bentley at Crewe have donated 30,000 face masks to local NHS Trusts. MG Motors have donated a similar number to the Nightingale Hospital in Birmingham and 2 Irish Hospitals. Nissan UK have made some 100 dealer loan cars available to NHS staff who for some reason are without their wheels.

SUNDERLAND, UK – Nissan supply chain experts are lending a hand to get hundreds of thousands of protective face visors to frontline workers. A team of volunteers have created a parts processing line in the final assembly area at the company’s Sunderland Plant to sort thousands of individual visor parts and pack them in sets of 125 for shipping direct to the UK’s National Health Service.

More than 77,000 visors will leave the plant by the end of this week, with up to 100,000 being distributed each week, from next week.

These are just a few news items. Sure many other manufacturers have similar actions in being or planned.
